PERTH AIRPORT FLIGHT ACADEMY INVEST IN NEW TECNAM P-MENTOR AIRCRAFT
Scotland’s largest pilot training academy and aircraft maintenance organisation which currently operates 20 aircraft and employs over 40 members of staff from it ‘s main base at Perth Airport in Scotland make the announcement after the most successful period in their history where a record number of graduates have secured positions with leading UK airlines. ACS have also hired additional members of staff to deal with the demand and are subsequently forecasting record revenues for 2023/24. The company will also add significant capabilities to the aircraft maintenance department by becoming the first Tecnam aircraft service centre in Scotland offering specialist technical support to it’s customers.
The choice of ACS Aviation is joining and confirming the new philosophy in Pilot Training offered by Tecnam. This fleet renewal and expansion will improve the quality of training whilst limiting it’s cost for students and better preserving the natural environment. A recent study shows that flight schools operating with Tecnam single engine fleet can reduce emissions by up to 60%: 10 tons of CO2 for each student by the time they receive their Pilot License. The aircrafts are also designed to be quieter which will help toward lowering noise around the airport and surrounding communities.
Tecnam’s P-Mentor aircraft will allow us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint in advanced flight training with the added benefit of state-of-the-art instrumentation that will help us propel, even further, into our sustainable double-digit growth
