The Diamond DA42 Twin Star is a four seat, twin engine, propeller-driven airplane developed and manufactured by Austrian company Diamond Aircraft Industries. We have one of the youngest fleets in the industry, our two aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 Electronic Flight Instruments (EFIS) that reflect the avionics technology found on an airliner flight deck. To enhance the safety of our airborne training, we have also specified the very latest version of the airline-style Traffic Advisory System (TAS) to provide our pilots with an 'extra pair of eyes and ears' in the cockpit.
ALX Simulator
In line with our philosophy to invest in new technologies, in 2023 we acquired the most advanced simulator within the ALSIM ALX range.
Our ALSIM ALX Simulator has: Dual FMS, Complex overhead, Medium Jet Thorttle Quadrant, Nose whell stearing, and DUAL GPS (WASS) GTN 650 touch with Garmin SafeTaxi, which will show us the georeferenced tracks available in Canada, the United States and Europe with 15 channels with SBAS/WAAS certification.
In addition, it features HDVS with panoramic high-definition visual system, TCAS, Force Feedback, or Weather Radar, as well as a worldwide navigation database, photo-realistic scenarios, among others.
The Alsim ALX simulator is FNPT II certified and has glass cockpit technology. With top-of-the-range hardware and software, this excellent simulator offers great added value for the training of our pilots.

Among its features, the Alsim ALX Simulator has flight models for the MCC / SPS and JOC courses on Airbus A320 or Boeing 737-800. It is also certified FNPT II SEP/MEP COMPLEX and PBN - Performance Based Navigation.
